Alerts

Alerts are the things Tobren Operations noticed on your behalf: a maintenance item gone overdue, a crew member’s knowledge recency about to lapse, an insurance document expiring. Find the inbox under Alerts in the nav — it’s also where the dashboard’s alert panel sends you.

Alert Raised when
Maintenance due A tracked maintenance item passes its interval. See Maintenance.
Knowledge recency (§107.65) A crew member’s aeronautical knowledge recency is lapsing or lapsed.
Flight recency A crew member hasn’t flown inside your organization’s flight-recency window — a house policy, not a Part 107 rule.
Insurance expiry An insurance document is approaching or past its expiry date.
Document expiry Any other tracked document is approaching or past its expiry date. See Documents.
Access expiry A time-limited aircraft access grant is running out. See Fleet.
FAA incident report due (§107.9) A reportable incident’s 10-day clock is running and no report is filed.
Weather outside your minima A filed flight’s weather log exceeded your minima (Settings → Weather minima).
Waiver expiry A Part 107 waiver on your registry is nearing or past its expiry.
Crew left the workspace A crew member left with flights still scheduled.

Each alert carries a severity — info, warning, or critical — its message, how long it’s been open, and, for alerts about an aircraft or a crew member, a link to that record, so you can go fix the thing rather than go find it. Members limited to own assignments only don’t see the Alerts page and only see alerts about themselves.

Alerts also feed compliance reports: a fleet report’s overall status turns critical when a critical alert is open.

Dismiss silences an alert. It takes at least a Member role — a Viewer sees the inbox but not the action.

Dismiss is the only action, deliberately. It silences the alert; it does not assert that the underlying record was fixed. If the condition still exists, the fix is on the record itself — service the maintenance item, file the recency date, upload the renewed document.

Every alert appears in the app. Email and push delivery is not limited by plan: every plan can receive them.

Email and push alerts go to the workspace’s owners and admins. An owner or admin chooses which alert types are sent under Settings → Notifications, and each person can pick Email only, Push only or Both in the mobile app’s Settings. An alert that could not be sent (for example email is not configured, or the day’s email budget is used up) is recorded as skipped rather than silently dropped; it is still in the inbox. A snoozed alert is not sent.

Which alert types your organization raises at all is set once for everyone, under Settings → Notifications. Owners and admins can change it; members can see it but not edit it.
